Alan Baggett was born and raised in Florence, Alabama. There, he attended Mars Hill Bible School and was a part of the symphonic band. Alan played trombone from 5th grade through graduation. "I have always had a passion for music. Unfortunately, my school only allowed one music class per term. I enjoyed playing the trombone and it has given me a great ear for tuning and chord progressions." As a freshman at Auburn, Alan began singing as a part of the Auburn Concert Choir. "It was only natural to try the other end of the spectra of music as soon as the opportunity arose." Since then it has been his desire to form a professional group of young versatile singers who were willing to commit time and energy to God through song. "Other groups I have sung in did not have the drive or determination like this sestet. It was all too obvious to call it Focus from the start." Focus was born in July of 2005. Alan sings lead or high tenor and organizes the group's rehearsals and performances. |
